Seth’s Black Walnut Bar
$5,650.00
This Black Walnut bar carries with it a story of chance and craftsmanship. The walnut itself was unearthed from the mud at Seth’s barn in Sonoma, where it once served the simple purpose of helping free a stuck tractor. Left behind, it seemed to wait—until years later, Peter brought it new life.
The frame was salvaged from a salmon fishing boat out of Bodega Bay, its weathered steel bars lending both strength and character. A diamond-patterned steel screen was set in place, along with old, wide cedar lath—aged wood with a history of its own. Redwood doors were fitted below, enclosing steel shelving designed to hold bottles and glassware.
The walnut top was sanded smooth yet left untreated, its natural grain and texture untouched by finish, giving it an honest and organic feel. Standing 44 inches tall and 18 inches wide, weighing 88 pounds, this piece is both sturdy and refined.
More than just a bar, it is a gathering place, a fusion of resilience, history, and artisanal precision. With the option of lights installed beneath the top to illuminate colored glassware, the bar becomes not only functional but also radiant—a centerpiece built from reclaimed heritage, transformed into lasting beauty.
